Watched the games this morning, some of the English play was pretty good
Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
I punted Fox when Stan started Rugby. Not much point getting Kayo as I'll be away for a month after the QF's start. Thought it might be on YToob as BBC are doing every match live FTA.
Liked the look of Lebanon today. Some old union tactics popping up in their plays too

Didn't even realise Australia were on last night but it's good to see them beat the game clock
Got around to watching a couple of replays this week. The Lens are playing well & Cheika is in for some long hours.
Trivia question: which team of dumb Mungos features (at least) 2 men who've earned a degree in applied physics? No Googling![]()

I'll bite and say PNG - purely because I saw a video on Reddit of a full room watching PNG's opening game at Justin Olam's university in PNG and the idea of a mungo going to Uni stood out to me
No idea who the second player is though.
Hopefully PNG can put in a good show against England in the Qtr Finals.
Hopefully they can go one better.
Jargs wins CC Trivia for the week. The second PNG physicist is Roderick Tai. Dunno his story, but Olam's folks would not let him play footy as they prioritized education. He never got to play until he left their small village and took up playing for his University team. Smart parents too, by the look of things.

Seibold confirmed as Manly's NRL coach. On Tuesday evening rugby league's worst kept secret finally became public with Seibold named alongside new assistant coaches in ex-Cronulla mentor Shane Flanagan and Jim Dymock, who also agreed to three-year deals.
On paper this should work out to be a very good move by Manly, as a fan for 49 years I will be 100% behind them wishing for some early wins next year. If they have a bad start the Manly faithful will surely turn on them.
Well good luck Chopper. It's an interesting mix. I'd like to be a fly on the wall at their first meeting if Seibold launches into his usual gobbledygook. Can't imagine Jimmy Dymock or Flanagan wearing that for too long without telling him to cut the crap.
Ahem, ahem.
But seriously, this RLWC has showcased how close the top half dozen countries are now days. It's fantastic to see. Didn't watch any of the mismatches, but I've really enjoyed all the serious contests. Especially enjoyed watching PNG. They've come a long, long way in the past 5-odd years.
