"I still call Australia Home"?
It has good succession overtones if applied correctly
We're the Force, try and understand it. Make a noise and make it clear. We're not going to sit in silence, we're not going to live in fear. Oh wo wo wo, Oh wo wo wo,
Y'know what? That's a really good idea. Anyone play the pipes? That would get it going.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
I really enjoyed wolfmother!
Thinking of songs we could sing as a crowd -
Monty Pythons always look on the bright side of life!
Powderfingers my happiness, these days or sunsets
Bernard fanning - I just want to wish you well!
Even if we slightly changed the lyrics to suit our narrative 😃
Something based on the B-52s Love Shack...
this is actually pretty easy to respond too. While i enjoyed Wolfmother (if a little old now). Could not help thinking "Perth has a myriad of great bands, so why not support the local footy team with some local music?". As an RTRfm subscriber and local music punter, I can think plenty of bands that would fit the bill. While some are eclectic and not to everyone's taste. there's also plenty that are generally accessible.
Alt pop county. Timothy Nelson and the Infidels.

Funk Soul. Grace Barbé & her Soul Atomics

Folk (quite poppy). Simone and Girlfunkle (yes i spelled that right. Helped out by the Scalp Hunter blokes here).

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
Douglas Adams
I see we've moved away from the original topic to theme songs?
I don't think rehashing old songs with new lyrics is particularly good. It feels lazy and twee to me. Have a little faith that Force fans are connected enough to get the hang of a new tune. Once it's blasted out on the Force Field PA a few times, peeps will jump on board (assuming it strikes the right chords so to speak).
I'm not an AFL fan, but The Eagles have a great song. It's up beat with lyrics that connect well with the club feeling, All the Eagles fans know it even though it's not a rehash of some old song from way back.
The Dockers song on the other hand feels a bit meh..

I thought the question was songs that might be recognisable and singable enough that the crowd might belt out at various moments in the game. The Eagles fans don't spontaneously start singing the team song, it is only played after the game as everyone steams for the exit and sung by the team in the shed. Even the Welsh go for Delilah, rather than some original composition.
and the Munster fans sing a small bit of Fields of Athenry.
"12 Years a Supporter" starring the #SeaOfBlue
how about a local group--the Waifs,perhaps?
Everyone wanting different music selections so how about a playlist for each game - have a competition for best playlist selection or a combined playlist from people's suggestions?
