This whole ridiculous saga only reinforces what they Eastern blazers have been saying for years - that they EWF are a bunch of yahoos, and the organization doesn't know what the hell they're doing.

While some of the developments are far from RWA's fault, and seemingly out of their control, their response has been weak at best.

If you're going to let the (Eastern) media speculate about the whole process (seems like one story per day at this point), at least develop a relationship with Growden, Harris or whoever, and generate some positive spin or backchannel sharing of information that gets RWA's message out.

The Reds did this quite effectively during the whole Genia incident, didn't they? They essentially used the media to do their bidding and put pressure on Genia to reconsider. You can let the media dictate the conversation and coverage, or you can guide it in the direction you want it to go.

The Media Manager may be a great guy, but he needs to go. Seems like he's dropped the ball in this whole process.
