Seems Brumbies have enough clout to keep their players in the local comp this year.

    Wink Thats Rich.......

Ive been away for a few days so didn't catch the thread earlier...... Rockingham did play 4 new players in 4th grade on the weekend........ Only 1 of them had played 1st grade this year.... the others were new to the season........ Wanneroo field a 4th grade side every week full of high quality players and if pitched against their 3rd grade side would kick the bejeebies out of them..... obviously this is done with the intent of getting into the finals......... there's a word for that..... and it starts with "Hypocrite"

4th grade largely consists of guys who are well past their use-by date in their late 30s, 40s and a few in the 50s. Before we formed another 4th grade side, earlier in the season, we had a guy in his 60s coming on off the bench. Hardly a team of superstars. At some point you get to the age when you have to stop playing 1st grade & drop down a few grades, if you're still good at 40 then so be it. But playing 1st grade guys still in their prime 4 grades lower than what they should be is just wank.

In the first year (or couple) we also had Sharpie, Pat O'Connor and Taj Mailata allocated to us.

Beef played like two games and then got called up to the match day 22, sharpie poked his face into some registration days and so forth and taj took the field a bit, but looked like he wanted to be somewhere else.

Sharpe was probably more use to the Club in the role that he took, than the twats that did take the field.
A complete F Up RugbyWA appointing players to Clubs in the early days ( especially for Rockingham ) as it soon became apparent that they could not compel them to play there, and also the Clubs with the resources rolled out the chequebooks to entice them.

And Ruckman, you are such a negative fuck aren't you.

The players managers supposedly get he best deals for the players under their contract arrangements. We are told nothing we or RugbyWA can do about it. How are the Brumbies able to hold a gun to the players and say play in Canberra for the remainder of the season? Hooper cannot return to play for Manly, his club of choice. To many unexplained variables that make the playing field look like a bike ride in some ....stan country!!

Brumbies have a coach that can tell the boys exactly what to do. He's not swayed by Eastern States allegiances, the players are keen to learn and to follow his directives.

The type of coach we need.

I love seeing the Force players playing club rugby, but unless a fair and equitable solution can be found then I think it would be better if Force players were precluded from playing in the local Perth comp. I'm not saying that because Wanneroo aren't getting any Force players, we are doing OK, but I don't like seeing other struggling clubs getting shafted. It's not good for them and it's not good for the local comp. We haven't had any blowouts yet, but come the tail end of the season and perhaps the bottom teams are struggling to get a full strength side, they could potentially get 60, 70 points put on them by a top side strengthened by 3+ Force players. Which is just bullshit.
