Who assumed the captaincy after Hodgo went off?
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
I thought it was DHP, but will stand corrected
I didn't hear the ref ask who was in charge, but Pek was probably the senior player
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Pek is Captain this week and I expect the rest of the season with Hodgo for rest of the year.
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
I'm not so sure they would have thought of it.
I was screaming for them to scrum after both Yellow cards, because the scrum was solid and I thought we might gain some ascendancy out of it. The second time, we were also attempting lineout after lineout on the 5m with no penetration whatsoever (but racking up a mountain of penalties)
I think forcing them to choose between an uncontested scrum on the 5 and contesting the ball and leaving the backline short would have been a shrewd move, leaving us with something to at least attempt to exploit, It was too easy for them to combat the maul even if we formed it, because they were getting away with murder there (as long as they didn't collapse, they seemed to be able to enter from anywhere)
Penalty try was a possibility!
C'mon the
