Attacking play?
Sias 10 - Godwin 12 - Cullet 13
Great idea
When I was a wee nipper, my cranky old man used to take me to the mungoes on Sunday. We always got there early so we could watch all 3 grades
It was a day out. For a true supporter, it was a load of fun watching the up and comers doing battle then finished off with the main fixture of the day.
In Sydney, the GPS 1st XV rugby is a bigger spectator draw card than club rugby.
As a Force supporter, it would be great to turn up early and watch a schoolboy game, a Force academy game eg Force 2nd v waratahs 2nds etc and then the main event......super rugby.
The schoolboys would get a buz out of it and the stands would be full. Schoolboy games attract parents, friends etc. It builds a sense of community. It is also a value ad. You feel better value for your money.
many of us in WA have to travel a long way to get to games. If you turn up early, the atmosphere is a bit deflating. Pre match "entertainment" with blue d1ck suits and ridiculous gimmicks is gayer than AIDS
Rex loves the South African style hotdogs though. Winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Controversy corner
oh please, please, please give us some good play in 2013. There is nothing more deflating than coming to the game as a loyal member, firing up in the shed with a couple of sherbets and then seeing the crap that was regularly served up in 2012. We were forced to support the beer tent far too much towards the end of the season and my health cant take it....one of my mates ended up having an in depth discussion with a taxi driver about Muslim terrorists in Somalia on the way home from the last game, and it was only 9.30pm!
of course discussion of Al Shebab (i think) was good as it made us think of doner kebab, which was a great finish to the night and soaked up a lot of midstrength beer

Now that we have some coaching staff can we divert our attention to a much more important missing element...
CHEERLEADERS

If only for the sake of metlslugsman and many others I know, we need to win.
(and ditch the psuedo sherbet)
There is an initiative for them...simply putting on a half decent choice of drinks would massively improve the mood in the stands! Not to mention the distinct improvement in financials (and maybe language) if folk didn't feel the need to binge before the game to see themselves through.
Alison - what about guys in skin tight lycra... wait, we've already got those....
Get rid of the lyrcra loonies. They are pathetic. Should not be allowed near a rugby match
I've noticed them at other matches for other teams.... must be infectious!!
Infections more like
Cheerleaders definitely! Perth has an abundance of beautiful hot chicks that are continuously lost to things like teaching, engineering and other such nonsense that prevents them from showing their curves. Oh and bring back tittie bars. You know the ones that you don't have to go into if you don't want to(why ban them??). Just a thought.... But when you can't get a beer on Easter Friday you know a committee's involved somewhere
[Beer & crisps......the pre-season diet of choice
