Although it's Greg Groan Growden, you may get some speculative answers here in his article Why Foley had to go. And I thought RugbyWA was bad..
If it's true that Foley will be Director of Rugby or somesuch, and Louden, Mulvihill, etc., will be the Head Coach, then it does offer a ray of hope about the coaching situation.
Probably because RWA have to wait for approval of contracts from the ARU, whereas journalists can write whatever they want, whenever they want. This gives them 'scoops' which is just writing stories while it's still embargoed, but the ARU can't stop them because they need someone to write about rugby and if they barred Harris, Growden, etc they'd end up with nothign but AFL and League in the papers.
qantity might go down but quality would go up
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

Do breed unnatural troubles; infected minds
To their deaf pillows will discharge their secrets;

Controversy corner
In The interview I heard with Growden yesterday he said that the board called a review with two matches left and had him explain himself. That, he said, was their error. It made his position vulnerable and led him to look again at the offer from The Force. Seems them offering him a stay of execution rather than him committing to them. Is that why the chairman walked the plank?
I've said here that I can't see how Michael Foley can have two decades of Waratah negativity laid at his door. Growden has also hinted that Phil Waugh, the architect of a lot of it, may be their next boss, If I read between his lines correctly. Now the other architect is speaking for the board. Either way their farked.
It seems what I thought after the interview may be the case. That our most respeted player has been at the pointy end of this and as I'd hoped, is staying on as line out consultant. The player offered his job as an enticement to stay and build on this has turned his back. Pretty glad I kept my glass half full. Carna Force!

Bit of Shakespeare - to early in the morning for some maybe. Here's modern day translation for ya.
Michael Foley has three years to build the Western Force into a Super Rugby power.

This is all starting to sound very exciting :-)) I am full of hope for 2013 and beyond![]()
So are we still looking for a head coach or just a backs coach?
"The besieged club has lured the former Wallabies hooker from the NSW Waratahs and appointed him director of rugby...and precedes the appointment of a head coach who will have a hands-on role in a system very similar to the European style of management....The Force are also in the market for a backs coach....Former Bath coach Steve Meehan...is in the running as is the well-respected Todd Louden"
This is the most positive bit of news since RG got sacked.
