While it would be foolish to take anybody lightly these two really appear to be the only players of significance in their named 22.
11 of those listed will be making their Super Rugby debut and none of those has any experience past Currie Cup, including both flankers, both the halves and all three outside backs.
Overall its a team that 'boasts' a combined total of 10 Test and 332 SR caps. Even our team that ran out last week had 53 Test / 588 SR. Add in the possible inclusions and we could have as much experience as 100/821.
I know ultimately that experience doesn't mean everything and that the huge crowd and the passion involved in their first game will count towards evening up the contest.
I do get the feeling however that when these guys come up against the top quality sides of the competition that cricket scores will be run up and records will tumble.
SA Rugby really appears to have shot itself in the foot all in the interests of appeasing politics.
WF players observed and tried to catch a spy in the bushes filming the EWF training session.

"12 Years aSupporter" starring the #SeaOfBlue
It's pity we didn't have Piri Weepu in the side .With Pek and Sam chasing him thrugh the bush,Weepu would already be in the gas station buying half a dozen pies and a bottle of coke.He could have put his tucker down and cut the bloke off.Hmmm....put his tucker down....come to think of it....
Can someone explain why afrikaaners were so offended by being called "dutchmen" by Luke Watson a while back? Please excuse my ignorance. I just dont understand what is so insulting about that?
How do you explain to a Kiwi he's a sheep shagger?
How do you explain to a Weshman he's into seconds?
How do you explain to an Africanna he's a Dutchman?
All of the above done with a big smile and out of punching distance.
And I don't know of any Rock spider or Japie who has ever taken offence at been discribed as a Dutch man!
Go the Force but I love PE and wish I was there.
May the FORCE be with you!
Has become a derogatory term usually used by English speaking South Africans to describe their Afrikaaner cousins of Dutch descent.
Slight concern that the Force couldn't catch a dodgy guy carrying a tripod and a camera ! Some more speed work required

First night out in Port Elizabeth last night after a few days in the bush. I can see why you want to be here Snob- loving it. The locals seem to think they're in for a tanking but were very friendly towards our group. Funny but everyone here seems to think there's a conspiracy to get the Kings to win. Why pick the Force for their first game (based on last year's results) and apparently the ref's a young South African. We're in the same hotel as the team so watching the catering staff 24/7. And the spies. Boys are looking fired up so a good feeling here.
