Sitting on the dead ball line at ME is IMHO better than sitting in gold seating at Subi..

most of us around here are in for the long haul, even if you get better seats at MES or not, but i think the worst seats at MES will be on a par with the best seats at SUBI......

Hi guys, my hubbie and I travel close to 550km round trip to watch the game & have done for the past 2 years. We would do this even if it was played at some small oval,as we come because we enjoy the game. People who don't renew because the game is at Subi are proving the government right in there decision not to think about rugby when deciding on a new stadium, the best way to have influence is bums on seats. If the only reason not to renew is because it is at Subi means they are not really that interested in the game.

I'm pretty pleased with that if true! We've had a lot of negative press one way or another, so I'm pleased to see that the majority know that it's the game that counts and we can poke what the press have to say!

I do not think you can plan a stadium for members only. I know lots of folk who buy tickets for games, not to mention visting supporters. If we could seat 35,000, we would almost certainly get back the members who have dropped out and increase the list as well. IMHO 25,000 would not be enough. Then again, any rugby stadium would be so much better than what we have to endure at the moment.

Thers only 17,000 members so that would leave 8,000 seats to non-members if they upgrade the ground to 25,000. Nice incentive to be a member and i relaise that not everyone can afford to be member, so i guess they would have to get thier tickets early

    i'll take it!

    one thing though
i think the plans should also be drawn up with the idea of another upgrade for more seating. and the initial upgrade should be done in a way that would allow for the second upgrade to be done quickly and efficently.

i kind of garbled what i was trying to say there. but i think i got my point across.
dont hold it against me, i'm tired

I agree one step at a time, there is plenty of room at that ground for a few upgrades in years to come. We should be thankful that they are even looking at it full stop. We will get what we want eventually.

my point was that if its built in a way where it can be added to with minimal cost and minimal effort, wouldnt that be better forward planning?
because if you have to rebuild the stand to add on to it. thats gonna cost a whole lot more.
