There was an article by Scott Allen (has been on GAGR) on Roar last week analysing the scrum and he said he's watched Wallabies at training and is still amazed that the coaching team aren't correcting basic techniques with the props and hookers in their positioning before they even start the scrum. It's schoolboy rugby basics and they're not correcting it, along with all their other bloody skills!
By the way did anyone get a chance to see Wallabies this afternoon and get a chance to ask what the story is?
I saw the training didn't ask them about the issues but did laugh my head off when getting a photo taken of my boys with Will Genia the lads are signing the opening tune to the Lion King to the tune of Will Genia
Please educate me
Why does AAC still play and if it's a good reason why does he not play wing as he has no idea what off loading the ball means.
Or should he not be taught a new trick - how to do pass the ball.

Genia had a poor game and Quade Cooper an even worse one. I am no fan of QC and don't particularly like Genia as an individual (he seems like a petulant whinger to me) HOWEVER if the forwards are getting smashed in the set piece and the ruck, it makes it very hard for the backs to shine. We MUST address the scrum, ruck, maul and line-out issues we have. Frankly I think it is bloody embarrassing at the moment. Other than counter attacking, a great deal of attacking rugby comes from effective play by the forwards - at least holding your own, if not gaining dominance. In my opinion this is the most pressing issue the Wallabies have to deal with - and they better do it bloody soon. We are in a very competitive sporting environment and the casual supporter will turn off if we keep losing.
The success of our code at every level benefits from a successful Wallabies (and vice versa)!
Well they weren't as bad as these guys.

Damn right! So the questions have to be asked, how are these players coming through to first-grade, let alone test level, without these rugby fundamentals?!
Speaking of fundamentals...
