Yeah that's very similar to what I was told. He just wasn't committed to the cause and they weren't winning and he swung at someone and got himself yellow carded. He apparently looked pleased with himself when he got sin binned and looked like he was just there because he had to be.
Cott ended up losing and he may have cost himself a wallabies cap... remains to be seen.
I made Happy sad...
he got sin binned against us last time he turned out for cottesloe - obviously doesnt think too much of club rugby... if he tried cott might have had a decent chance!!
he always turns up to muck around in club rugby, usually he just annoys they other force players playing.
Henjak used to muck around as well when they were both playing.
sometimes its pretty funny
Sorry mate, I don't think demeaning the team you're playing with...or against is EVER funny. Even if you are light years ahead in standard, do them respect of making it look like you're serious about it. On top of that, this was seriously a match fitness strategy employed by Robbie Deans (who saw first hand the effects of rotation and player resting last year) I'd think the brief was for him to have a good hit out and work as hard as was possible in the situation.
Hopefully he gets acap this season after this debacle!

Sad
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
I know they want to muck around every now and then, playing A-grade rugby would be stressful and they probably need an escape like that, but for some of the blokes in the local clubs that is as close to professional rugby as they will get and they put their whole heart and soul into it and deserve for their efforts to be rewarded. Not for someone to comeback and muck around as if club rugby is beneath them.
It sounds out of character for Brownie, from the handful of times I've met him he seems like such a down-to-earth top bloke. Hopefully he will snap out of and go back to the Brownie who earnt himself a place in the Wallabies squad!!
Agreed Laura.
Sounds like he may need a visit from some of his Julia Creek mates to bring him back down to earth.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
