Godwin did bomb a certain try dropping it over the line. Poor execution, not valuing the ball enough. DHP was huge.

Season was effectively over last week, and realistically probably the one before. I was impressed by Koteka's showing, so that is perhaps what they should look to now as about the only useful outcome left for the year - make a concerted effort to bring on the local lads and those that have genuinely moved here long term. Given the pain the bottom line is likely to see for the rest of the season, they may be all we have left fairly soon.

Even more gutted than last week.
Force should have won both these games in Sth Africa!

Too many errors and stupid things which just killed momentum.
e.g. Steenkamp loitering in off-side position = obstruction.
2 missed penalty goals - one from right in front.
Kicking ball into own Hooker's head!!
12 missed tackles (Morahan - 3; Burton - 2; Charles - 2; Ebersohn - 2; Mafi - 2; McCalman - 1)
Tackling efficiency - 80%. Last week - 93%.
(Sharks 157 tackles made/22 missed - 88%.)

1st Half - 68% Possession/69% Territory - 2 x Penalty Goals
1nd Half - 78% Possession/82% Territory - 1 x Penalty Goal.
Sharks defended very well BUT we should have done better.

Some good things:
Dane Haylett-Petty - 15 carries for 111m; 1 TO won
Kane Koteka - 8 carries for 54m; 1 TO won.
Steve Mafi - 10 carries for 40m; 1 TO won

Lost 3 Line-outs on our throw/Won 19. Won 4, from 9 of their Line-outs.

Ruck Stats

Coleman the standout rucking Forward.
Fantastic ruck involvement by Coleman, Mafi, Koteka and Faulkner and Steenkamp off bench.
Burton and Morahan the best ruck efforts by Backs. Others in single digits.

Didn't see it but looked pretty annoyed going off.
Charles on the other hand got a nasty hit from the ball in the neck. Poor Cheese that's two weeks in a row..though last week seemed more like a blow to the chest than the head..but he's no luck there. Looked nasty, won't be buying Ebersohn a drink anytime soon.

Two decisions from the TMO, one right one wrong and a certain try bombed. The effort is getting more consistent just need to stop those pointless kicks. Wasn't a fan of Burton but admit I was wrong, looks good at 12. Albie still doesn't look a happy chappie. And why is Elwee on the bench, translator?

Same game plan same result. Hold the ball and we look good kick it and we give them more chances to score.Just plain fucken dumb play. It's no coincidence that the top 6 teams in the comp have gone away from this dumb outdated play.

Definitely another game we should have won, and although it wasn't solely down to the ref, he has to be accountable for that ridiculous "try" decision in the first half. I don't think he was asking the TMO about the grounding, only whether there had been anything illegal in the build-up, and then when Jonkers couldn't find anything he disallowed it anyway - the man's incompetent...!! He wasn't even able to make squint line-out throws without having to ask his touchie................the guy should be stood down, although it's probably a bit late for us with that...?
