Much more width in attack this week. More ball in hand too.
I take it back re Cummins - great job at 13.
And Wara and Stanley are gaining confidence and playing better as others have suggested they would. Wara's positional play was excellent.
Weren't Poey, Sharpie and Sheehan fantastic!!!
If Sheps, Nalaga, Tupou and Dellitt are fit could lead to some selection headaches. We will need good midfield defence against SBW though, and speed out wide and at the back vs the Chiefs.
Bring it on!!!
Yeah, watched the Tahds Chiefs game. Their back line will test us if they're given space. We're in a good place now though, brimming with confidence. If we keep it tight like we did in the first 20 minutes against the Reds (90% possession!!) and command the breakdown I think we can send those Mooloos off to SA hurting.
Palitu, Jono, WF1962 - Send us a PM whenever you're in town and have a brew during a force game sometime.....we might be outnumbered wiith mooloos supporters next weekend tho.
That is his 2nd try for the force....1st one against the Chiefs 14/04/2007.
My prayers were answered.....I hope Stannard is out for a long time,
Well done boys, I think we found a new 10 and Cummins can stay at 13 as well.
Harvey did good at 15 again, but his lack of pace still concerns me.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Cummins at 13 against the Chiefs would be dicing with danger, unless he can get his defence sorted out in the next week
Not sure I'd say that about Stannard; but I hope Seymour gets the nod and when Stannard comes back he's on the bench and has to oust Seymour. Too often for us players return from injury straight into the line-up.
But what a chance for Seymour. With Cooper injured, Barnes looking out of sorts, and Deans possibly preferring O'Connor on the wing, Seymour has the chance to shine behind what's certainly the best pack in Australia, and close to it in the entire comp.

If Seymour comes on OK Chuck will likely be 9/10 bench cover with Sheehan & Seymour starting. Sheehan is getting on but he's proved he can play all the minutes reqired of him.
Anyone else see that penalty against Bam - not releasing - mid way thru the first half ? He ripped the ball away while the tackled player was still on his feet. Shit that's frustrating.

Chucky was on crutches after the game - one would suspect he will be out for at least a couple of weeks.
As Justin Turner is also for the next 6 weeks, we are running short of scrumhalves aren't we?
Who will provide cover for Sheehan?
