Albert Nikoro to join Zack Holmes at La Rochelle
Guys we've still got 2 marque spots to fill now
Which position(s) do you think are most in need?
My thoughts:
We should be OK at hooker even if one of Charles and Tessman leave as Scoble and Rangi look like capable back-ups.
We should be OK in the back-row, as I can't believe that we will lose all the players who have been mentioned as going out the door.
We now seem to have decent scrum- and fly-halves, and a back three (and reserve) in: Morahan, DHP, Rona and Brache.
Lock? Prop? Centre?
If Mafi and Walton are going, I think we only have Coleman and RHP at lock.
Cowan and Faulkner are OK, but aren't dominating props. None of the younger guys appear to have stepped up.
If Godwin and Rasolea are going, that leaves us with Burton and Tapuai in the centres.
The marque signings will need to be stand-out players, as we don't have holes in the squad (such as Alby filled) and we don't need players who are only of reserve quality (like of Steenkamp and Mafi)
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
For me, the Marquee players need to cover spots where Australia doesn't have enough depth.
Lock is one for mine and I would think seriously about Hooker and Centres. There might be a bunch of Aussies running around with 12 and 13 on their back, but we still need to unwrap Gits out of his French cotton wool to have a competitive midfield. I can;t think of anybody in Oz who I'd want to be showing Kyle the ropes, but there are some great 12s and 13s internationally who might be looking to test themselves in Super Rugby...it would also serve as a pretty bloody big carrot for Godwin to stay and play with the experience of a Brian O'Driscoll, Jean DeVilliers or Conrad Smith showing him the ropes.
(OK, maybe somebody who hasn't retired, but you know what I mean!)
C'mon the

Here it is, this article mentions Kyle and Chris moving to the Brumbies
Disappointed to lose both Kyle and Chris. I understand their decision though. We have got to put together a coaching group that can take the talent we have and develop them as well as any other team in Australia or otherwise we will continue to bleed good players.
Decision by Kyle not yet finalised so until the ink is dry we still haveto hold onto the hope of retaining him
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
That is some small comfort.
Get out there and do something to keep him here Sinderberry/board/ARU. We are watching critically.
I think Kyle made up his mind to go ages ago. The ink may not be dry but he won't be in Force blue next season I don't reckon.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Godwin gone, Lacey gone!
A Lock who leaves a mark on contact and a line-breaking Centre.
