The referee and linesman at the Wanneroo V Perth Bayswater first grade last week were both balding. This call came from my team mate.

"That was a terrible decision you bald bastard"

The linesman turned and looked at us.

"No not you the other bald bastard"

He not a fkn linesman; he's, at the very least, a touch judge. In 1st grade he's an assistant ref. In mungo he'd be a linesman. I gather in NZ youse folk might also call him a linesman, but he's not.

    Sorry,

The term linesman comes from Soccer. I've always called em touch judges in League, same in union.

    Sorry,
Ok point taken. When the referee asks for a linesman each week at our game its easy to start calling them the linesman all the time.

Why is it that even when they're standing an inch away from the play they always tell the referee "I didn't see it" and then say better go to the TMO.

Besides it depends which way the call goes, he can either be a F****** Blind **** or an absolute hero and neither of those calls are linesman or touch judge.

I feel the need to relive this thread. Some Alan Lewis abuse is MORE than sufficient.

During this game, I was sitting there kinda shouting and I said 'I thought it was a mental issue, not an eyesight one' coz he'd missed something very very obvious and began laughing at myself. Hehe.

Anyone else have some abusive Alan Lewis abuse for me? I need some

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

good call Robyn as I agree wholeheartedly. I wish to call him nasty things that I can't put on here because it will get me in trouble, even if I censor them

I removed quite a few words from that sentence already. Would have been a lot longer, if not for the PG rating.

He's nasty nasty... let's all call him nasty things in our minds now

Everyone reading this- we are all thinking nasty things about Alan Lewis.

But unfortunately the descriptive language you used when expressing your opinion of a certain IRB player of the years mother was even worse than what you used when describing the Ref.

yeah but he deserved it as well as it is true

If you hold the award in high regard i point out that Schaulk Burger won it in 2004 (I think), so that just shows they give it out to anyone
