Rocky have it tough, but perhaps if your coach or someone on the committee kept in touch with Mitch at the force and ask him for the mobile number of a new signing, long before the guy even arrives in Perth. Phone the guy, sell the club and ask him to help coach the juniors and then by doing so, ask Junior Committee to help pay his fuel bill to travel to and from Rocky. He will end up living around Floreat to be with his mates. When he does show up, treat him like any other club member, he has to still put gear away after training or clean up dishes or sell raffle tickets.
If he feels welcome and becomes part of the club, he may even bring a mate.

Played Uni on the weekend...... things were that bad with players for us........ i had to dust off my boots after 6 years......
