I think people's imaginations are starting to get the better of them. Last evening I spoke to some eye witnesses from Rocky (Rocky guys were with the SE7ENS Ambassadors and standing watching) who were very clear that this is what occurred:
Whistle blew for an infringement close to touch.
Paly Player A had his hair pulled from behind by HE Player A.
Paly Player A turned and threw the ball at HE Player A.
HE Player A swung a punch at Paly Player A and missed.
Players from both sides (inc Paly Player B) rushed in to calm things down (no punches thrown).
HE Player B ran in from a distance and threw two haymaker punches to the back of Paly Player B's head, the 2nd punch putting him out cold and he fell to the ground motionless.
A bit more pushing and shoving.
After about 5 seconds HE Player C (the Cott guy?) ran through the melee, turned and took a big swing at Paly Player B's head as he lay on the ground out cold.
No signs of remorse from the two thugs and were smiling as they surveyed the damage.
Referee regained control and the teams were separated.
Referee called HE Player B and HE Player C over and showed them a red card each.
