Thinking about that; I thought, at the time that he WAS walking. So the explanation sounds about right. Then it wasn't the most selfish act I've seen cricket. But his tactic of trying to plant his foot outside the line is among the dumbest. Well it is if it's getting you out half the time.

Well, Watson wasn't 'walking', not in the sense when Gilly did, he was given out and was accepting the decision. The Rogers dismissal was ridiculous, though. The guy's ben hit in the box, how is the ump saying that'll hit the wicket!

If you look at hawk eye, it would have missed leg stump. If inline it would have hit, so no problems regarding height.

Anyone that has a record like his being out LBW so many times probably doesn't deserve a test spot.IMO

I don't know why the selectors don't pick shaun and mitchell marsh as long as they have put their past behind them build for the future watson is not up to this level of cricket his record tells you that!

Cricket's actually pretty good for commentators not being too parochial (although there are a couple of exceptions). One of the highlights is Boycott tearing into an English player with one of his "In my day ..." rants!
