Can someone isolate and repeat that bit from the youtube tape?

Would we have to pay a royalties fee if we use any prerecorded music?

When Their Team is fielding - the crowd singles out each and every player and cheers and chants for that player until that player waves to and acknowledges the fans.

OF Course when the action is on - the greetings stops.

When the action slows - the greetings continues.
    Another good idea..

An old War cry from my school days.

"We are Warriors, We are men"
    "Came across (insert name here)"
"With my little buillet, and my little rifle"
    "Couldn't go around them"
    "Couldn't go under them'
    "Couldn't go over them"
" Had to go THROUGH THEM!!!!!"
"WE ARE WARRIORS, WE ARE MEN!!!"

    ---------- Post added at 13:40 ---------- Previous post was at 13:39 ----------

Oh, sorry should include this its a repeating chant with a leader and follower's. The leader or leader's will scream it out first followed directly by the follower's (rest of crowd).

    ---------- Post added at 13:41 ---------- Previous post was at 13:40 ----------

Oh, and finally. The more worked up the leader is the better it comes off. Tends to gee up the crowd.

Unfortunately this is based on a kid's story (We're going on a bear hunt) and would probably be mocked by the opposition. Would be OK if we played against a team called the Bears ( should be one by the time we reach Super 26).

All the replies have been interesting but I don't think any of them (including the one I supported above) really fit the bill.

    More suggestions please.

I was taught "on a lion hunt" could be good when we meet Mitch and his newby's next year

I'm prepared to let Sharpie down as often as he has let me down.

Um, oh yeah, that would be ....never.

    Fans get ready
    The Force are coming
They're going to score some tries

    Fans get ready
There's Sharpie and Bam Bam (or whoever is playing well at the time)
They're going to score some tries

Set to the tune People get ready.

We probably need 3 or 4 so we can present them to Sharpie when he picks up his TWF award then he can choose which one he wants.
Does anyone know what the other teams use for a war cry?

Hate to be homophobic (some of my best friends etc etc) but I'm not sure that The Village People is quite the image Sharpie is looking for !

I like it, it's simple and catchy. Is a bit repetitive - how long would we be expected to go on singing/shouting it at a time?

    For the humorless

    North south east and west
    Western Force are the best

    Nice and simple

Even Gunny could slur it in a guiness haze

A newbie in the crowd could pick it up in 5 seconds

You could even get mungo bogans like Shasta to remember it
