Thinking ahead a bit for scrumhalves - wonder if jimmy Cowan will stay in NZ now he can't keep a starting spot. Is he off contract this year?

I'm not sure if Shep would crack the side right now, other than for his cannon boot. Harvey's goal kicking has been excellent (and with Stannard out, not other kicker of note - except maybe Shep himself), Wara seems to be starting to go well, and Mafi has been playing really well.
I'd hate to see Shep get selected now, as it wouldbe on reputation alone.
Harvey to 10, where he should have been last two weeks, Shep to 15. Got to play Nalaga (sic) if fit, Wara to bench. Mafi to 15 when Shep gets injured %) %(, Wara on. Pat on bench for Kyle, on for last 20 or if honey badger if shown up in defence or Shep injury %) %(.
Despite fantastic win last night, win over Tards and four tries last week, you have to play best possible players no disrespect to anyone.
Shep in particular, horror run but he still gets my vote. Might have to let him go next year if he can't string a few (6?) games together, which is a sporting tragedy. He is a champ

At the completion of round 6 the have scored more tries than any other Australian team.
and the rebels are at the bottom of the ladder - where they belong
I just don't see where the form is for Shep. Sure he's HAD good form, but he's played about 2 matches over the past 18 mos! I'd rather go with the form players, and maybe bring him off the bench to see where he's at.
Also, I've seen several posts about Cummins being a liability on defense at 13. I may have to rewatch the game again, but his tackling was great - perhaps he made some positional/decision errors? If not, I don't see him being a liability.
Would like to see Harvey at 10, though. Seymour went OK, but he seemed to run everything well in front of the defensive line, and didn't move/commit any defenders. That kick to Wara, though.... ;-)
Probably my most enjoyable Force game to watch, particularly after all these bandwagon Reds fans yapping early this year.
Growden's team of the week:
15. Dave Harvey (2) (Force)
14. Samu Wara (1)(Force)
13. Nick Cummins (1)(Force)
12. Winston Stanley (1) (Force)
11. Adam Ashley-Cooper (2) (Waratahs)
10. Ben Seymour (1) (Force)
9. Brett Sheehan (2) (Force)
8. Matt Hodgson (2)(Force)
7. David Pocock (3) (Force)
6. Richard Brown (1)(Force)
5. Nathan Sharpe (3) (Force)
4. Toby Lynn (1)(Force)
3. Salesi Ma'afu (1) (Force)
2. Nathan Charles (2) (Force)
1. Pek Cowan (2)(Force)
Player of the round
Brett Sheehan. Instrumental in one of the Force's most memorable wins, outplaying Test halfback Will Genia, providing good direction and menace.
Try of the round
Samu Wara. A smart crossfield kick by replacement five-eighth Ben Seymour and a clever regather by the Force winger, who then sprinted upfield, led to a game-breaking try.
The comments vary from: "What's wrong with Mafi?", to bleatign about why there are no Brumbies in the team.
I was really impressed with Seymour..... keep that backline as it was Nick was awesome reminded of the old Tim Horan straight and straight only. Sheps may be a good bench player ???? Stanley still unsure but he is trying hard.
