You didn't watch rugby in 2006?
I know a guy can develop over 5 years, but Daruda was shite!
He's probably a better option than Sammy, but not by enough.
I'd wait and throw the bank at Jimmy. Behind a pack like we've got he'd have a real shot at the Wallaby Jersey. That's not empty hype. On the results of last weekend I reckon Quade should be #1 pick for the Wallaby jersey he was even better than Matty Toomua.
Unless Jimmy's gone to shit in Japan he should have developed at a comparable rate to Quade, and he was far better when he left!.....OK maybe that's stretching it a bit. Quade has had some serious demands put on his foooty that Jimmy's unlikely to have had in Japan, but you never know!

While he may be better than some current options in the Squad, Daruda is a S14 bench player and had not improved very much in four seasons.
Jimmy and Stanners combined would be very much a coup, allowing all the rest of the young talent to worry about getting experience in the other five positions.
Very much a case of, "Right, now where were we before we got rudely interupted."
"Bloody oath we did!"

"...a neck injury to second-string fly-half Mark Bartholomeusz that is likely to rule him out for a month, ...........
To add the their woes, No. 8 Richard Brown may need a right shoulder reconstruction after dislocating it against the Brumbies.
Shepherd looks like being out for at least a month with a hip injury, prop Matt Dunning suffered mild concussion and winger Haig Sare, a late inclusion in Friday's line-up, is still being treated for an Achilles problem."
At this rate we're going to be needing our own wing at RPH!![]()

I am hearing rumours that Dunning is out as well with concussion?
Edit: just saw it mentioned above
Not sure if that was the best we can expect off Harris at 10 but if it is someone should be calling Daruda. A bench player would be more capable than that.
If nothing else happens, hopefully Harris improves over the next few weeks to give us some depth when Bart returns otherwise we're in some serious strife unless someone answers the SOS

coz Stone Cold says so
The west web site is also saying the Force have got permission to sign another marquee international from the ARU... Not sure whats left out there though.
Jimmy Hilgendorf and Stanners would be a huge bonus, dont think Daruda is worth the call though...
And how Haig Sare is still playing is beyond me, I know he is still recovering but he would have to be the slowest wing in world rugby...
The Force showed plenty on friday night and would likely have been a different result if Shep had been out there... I think calling for the coaches head is ridiculous. Considering the key injuries they had, it was a bloody good performance to even get close.
That being said, its going to be a long year if they cant find some quality backs to step into the fold. The West web site seemed to think they would get both Jimmy and Stanners. Jimmy would be keen as Pretorious has alread signed for next year with the Japanese club Jimmy plays for. Not sure what the theory on Stanners was.
Fingers crossed but its a big ask in the next 2 weeks, Hurricanes and Cheifs both looked good and have guys to come back in yet.

Incompetent isn't the right word... But its the first one that comes to mind.

That's a bit tough on Haig, he's had an injury and hasn't played in any of the warm up games. He wouldn't have been expected to play in that game if it wasn't for Shep's injury, it was a miracle he lasted the whole game. When fully fit he will be alot fasterOriginally Posted by Rodent
