and the best rugby academy in Australia.......shame they couldn't sign the best young back in Australia (JO'C) even though they were closer to his home and had a far bigger hole in his position than the Force.

I guess our second rate academy signed him purely with money and a Firepower third party sponsorship.....after firepower went into recievership....it all makes sense now.

You keep telling yourself you develop talent at the Brumbies, that's sure to make it true!

If players leave at the end of the season we'll get the "I told you so" line.

If they stay we'll be hit with the "Force threw buckets of $$$$ at them" line.

the force aggresivly persued him (which means money) every club does ti to each others juniors! i dont have a problem witht he force doing it, it was just the scale and over aggresive nature of which they did it, but ultimately there should have been a draft or something in place fromt he aru to spread talent when they came in!

JOC was the next wave of this, there was no senior players left at queensland and he took the opportunity to follow a hero of his, it was why the force broke the bank to sign giteau and good luck to them, just dont bitch about it if someone else signs him!

If you said you had a problem with the "legality"of some of their recruiting I'd understand (though not agree ). But every recruiting dept worth it's salt is aggressive. I'm not convinced a draft would be a good solution, but a one-off in 2006 may have eased tensions. Too late now. Hasn't seemed to have helped the Highlanders, though I haven't a clue how the convoluted NZ recruiting system works.

Interesting idea - maybe it should also apply to League converts, so they can't take $400k of the ARU's money but still dictate that they will only consider playing for one team.
