He played well last season. Well enough to secure a contract with another club. That is the risk in signing kiwi journeymen.

If Morahan improves his tackling he will be fine. Should be played on the wing anyway when DHP's foot gets better.

I must be a bit of a commie, but if you are in the squad then you should be good enough to get some game time during the season, otherwise what is the point of signing players like Nikoro and bringing them over from NZ when you can just have a local fella do the same job.

McCalman is a machine but he can't continue like this forever. He's no 1 for runs and 11th for tackles in the comp. He will break soon. For that reason I would like to see HPJr given some game time.

I'm not sure RHP is quite ready to play at this level yet, certainly not to replace Benny Mac (The best forward currently running around in Australia)

Steve Mafi might just have enough presence to replace Ben once Coleman is better and we could then put Ross on the bench for a maybe start, but a straight swap is IMHO out of the question.

You are right if the backs aren't where they are meant to be then his options are limited. Everyone keeps talking up their effort and stats. To me ruck stats are pointless unless they result in a turnover, any goose can hit or lean on a ruck! Writer Nick Smith must have been watching a different game to me I thought the teams effort was average, not brave. The two 1st half tries scored by the Brumbies were embarrassing, in one case 3 WF players went into tackle 1 Brumbie he passed to the man on the outside who scored. That situation would be embarrassing in club rugby let alone professional rugby.
Staying positive though, Zack at 10 is looking better each week, Kyle spending time at 12(even though he was wearing 13) in the 2nd half was where he should be and Steve Mafi is going to be very good for the WF. Not even going to talk about the props or back 3.
