Well done Alison.
It's an open and shut case then.
You are a champion....and I mean that sincerely.
Game On folks!
Now let's sign Hodge, McMahon, Naivalu, Timani and Volavola and proceed to top the Oz conference next year after finishing 2nd this season with two convincing wins at home!
Mafi would be a marquee player though..... He plays for Japan! But I surely rate him very highly, as you have noted Gigs Gus and Benny are too injury prone and hence unreliable, so I believe that Mafi would be an upgrade on them and a great addition to the team.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
^ Great point
C'mon the
Geoff Parling "signing" for the rabble goes against that no marquee theory but that's probably only applicable for teams east of Eucla.
Maybe Parling's signing is conditional on playing in the Pro 12?
C'mon the
Has there been any inkling of what happened with the talks the ARU apparently had with Rebels/Cox last week? I've been dwelling on the aspect of Cox's ownership - he seems to have mysteriously gone to ground (along with Pulver & Clyne). Has Cox truly shown loyalty to the Rebels and rugby or was his whole intent to run the Rebs as a useful tax write-off for his own company? Surely this has a bearing on judging whether he is suitable to hold the licence at all? And the muck coming out of all the dodgy dealing over the years isn't a very good look of credible business ethics. Regardless of the argument 'he's a businessman getting the best price', Aus rugby isn't The Shark Tank and its pretty dismal its getting dragged around like a Vegemite sellout!
I thought I read somewhere that the talks were cancelled?
Cox had a "mediation" meeting with ARU set for last week which was cancelled, on what grounds it was cancelled I'm not sure.
However you would think that by 31 July (our Arbitration start date) the ARU will have done everything they possibly can to get hold of the Rebels from Cox, thus ending the whole sad sage.
If however they have not been able to secure the Rebels by then they will certainly have a much clearer understanding as to what further risk they are placing themselves in if our Arbitration ends the way we are hoping.
For mine it seems that our Arbitration will see some sort of conclusion. My boldest hope is that the above is all resolved well before 31 July and we don't even have to go through with the Arbitration at all.

I'm getting whiplash from all the media articles. Can someone just wake me up and give me a call when this is all sorted?
