I'm over Henners. If he spent less time at the hair dressers and agonising over his blow wave in the mirror, he might do better

I guess its a good job that people who know something about rugby, like John Mitchell and Laurie Fisher before him (and Burgs, Coach, TLH and Krusher et al!) recognise his ability and make the decisions in rugby.

John Mitchell, the man who rested a healthy Tana Umaga in a semi-final match and played Leon MacDonald in his place? Yeah thank god he makes good player selection. Gee I hope someone got fired over that blunder... wait.

Are you suggesting that people who are unimpressed with Henjak's performance don't know anything about rugby? Seems a bit misguided to me, but what do I know right.

I'd like to see him do well, he's got the skills but he's still lazy and slow. Maybe if people stopped telling him how great he is (or all this wealth of potential he has...) all the time he'd pull his finger out.

Happy to congratulate him if he does something good... If. We'll see if all you "blind faithful" are prepared to eat humble pie yourselves if he doesn't come through. He's got a good backline this year, it's all up to him to get them ball.

i think the problem last season was everyone saw him at every breakdown with his hair etc. and have atributed all the bad or unsucessful plays back to him without giving merit to his efforts where due.
during a game veiwed live this is easy to do. i am not his biggest fan but after veiwing most of last seasons reruns on fox over the last couple of weeks i find myself seeing things more clearly. another issue i can see is that he had alot of bad press over being sent home from SA (what did he say to lote and wendle?) and being a relitivly new name at the time he has been tinted in that light.
the more people bag him the less you can expect "Stellar" performances

Still, it's a bit like me saying Matt Dunning is still going to live up to expectation. How many of you are laughing right now?

As I did last year, I'll give him a chance at Super 14 level again, I don't care how he played against 15 japanese businessmen or a second rate samoa squad. Put him up against some Kiwis hungry to stake their claim to All Blacks selection (like, oh I don't know... this Friday), my opinion won't change til then.

As I said in another thread, he did provide quick and pretty crisp service. The rest of the backline wasn't firing at all (Gits did try though) so it's hard to say that a scrumhalf played brilliantly when the rest of the backline was in disarray. I hope he keeps it up, I never questioned his skill, just his effort and intensity. A lot of us are thinking he played well because the crowd were too busy picking on Mitchell...

It's a little early for humble pies. Even Mat Rogers has a good game once in a while.

...and I have also acknowledged his best performance for the Force in another forum.

I, among many others I suspect, hope that this is just the start of something big for The Yak.
