I love watching rugby, just the way it is.

Please don't dismiss me because I'm a woman.
Jess I know how you feel. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to say too much on the issue beyond adding the odd joke or sarcastic comment (yes guys, the thing about the mandatory shirt changing was a JOKE) without getting written off as being jealous, in much the same way as your thoughts are written off as "feminist diatribe". Yep, I'm sure there are women who are at the games who perve on the boys- I'm not one of them, Jess isn't one of them and neither are many of the girls here. We'd be mad to be spending ~$300 on a season ticket to go sit up in the rafters at Subi if that's what were there for.
For the record, I was sitting about 4 seats away from Badger at the trial game and don't remember any untoward "show us your tits"-esque comments when Boof had to change his shirt- I was more concerned with the cut on his arm that was gushing blood for the second time that match.
If it were as simple as finding something else on the ground to look at while a bunch of semi-naked chicks pranced around the pitch, then no, cheerleaders probably wouldn't hurt, but given that I attend games by myself, I don't think I'd be too comfortable sitting in a crowd wolf-whistling and carrying-on.
I'm not one who's easily offended- working where I do you can't afford to be, but Jess is right- why can't we all just be rugby fans, who like to watch rugby players play rugby (on a rugby field for that matter )*

*Eek... that sounds so "after-school special"

Actually, Swee, behind all the joking and kidding around on this site, you'll find we are.

We all go to watch the same Rugby game. Us females just pay more attention to certain aspects of the game, we don't ask that they run around scantily clad with pom poms cheering! So why ask women to do that?

    Thumbs up

We should only have Cheer leaders at selected games!

All games except Crusaders, Blues and Sharks.

The rest of the games will be walk over so we need some entertainment!

We should get the "push up first fifteen" to do a press up for each point for the chicks!

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Don't worry Jedi, I'll post a pic of my ball date and I after the ball(8th April)- those are all the qualificatons you're going to need.

That's fighting talk!!! Can you organise a visa from Russia (or is it the Ukraine these days) in time for your school ball?
