The other point I find very interesting about this is that Cheika has come and said that he would not select him in the future, so I guess that means regardless of what the newly appointed Scott Johnson or the yet to be appointed additional selector have to say, Cheika still holds the reins when it come to selecting the team.

I saw Cheika's statement earlier in the week.
Could such a public statement be construed as a restraint of trade?
Not with a representative team there isn’t.

His actions since his tweet have been diametrically opposed to his words (tweeted by Mitchell). He has always been a selfish player, and this whole incident tweet and subsequent has been totally self oriented not team oriented. Even his besties Hooper and Phipps won't play with him again which says something, given Phipps cowsuit and pissing in a bar shenanigans and Hooper defending Beale and getting Link sacked.
He is a liar and a hypocrite, so by his own definition going to hell.

And if he fails in his bid at the Code of Conduct hearing it might not be that easy for him going the legal route either as NSW doesn't have provisions for religious discrimination. So if he made these comments in NSW (and that won't be difficult to prove) then he's likely going to have a hard time of it.
What Phipps did was stupid and it was his bucks. It is a non issue.
The Tahs need to look at their leadership set up. In a pro set up it is different. In a amateur set up you could have your 4th lock as your club captain. This co captain nonsense needs to stop and it shows there are very few people currently that are able to command a dressing room like a Leonard, Quinnell, O’Connell, Johnson, Pelous. Rory Best comes across as a Smit, Eales, type that will lead by actions. Maybe it reflects on Eales and Smit in the board room. They are too quiet and don’t have the presence of a Johnson or O’Connell both highly intelligent men who can fark the corporate mouse yes men and female off to drive change. O’Connell has grown his business hugely, focus on improvement and drives people. Aus Rugby needs a O’Connell not a mouse.

Good argument on Roar posters. Discussion re the cost of cutting Izzy has quickly developed into the creative bookkeeping by RA. The penny’s finally dropped about RA receiving sponsorship monies in advance to balance the books, and its become blatantly clear just how close to insolvency they are. Concerned Supporter is really putting the boot in -that you Bakkies? TWAS is scrambling for comeback arguments with no joy. I would imagine that sponsors who have already handed over the funds won’t be happy if it goes to a payout to Izzy!
but this year it appears that RA received sponsorship money in 2018 that was promised for 2020 ($5m) and money that was promised for 2019 ($4.364m)- quite a stretch of the friendship really. Not only that, but they received Super Rugby Government funding in advance (supose from Vic Gov to save the Melb Rebels) $500,00 for 2019 and $3 m for 2020. Without these revenue in advance monies, totaling $17.626 m, the cash balance of $18.081 would have been more like $0.
The truth may set you free, but only evidence convicts
Just read the article it was good to see jack and Bamboo reinforce CS’ points about the dire financials. Paul Rees from The Guardian said that five of theSixNations unions are against the World League yet they are still doing due diligence. Don’t know why they are wasting their time.

What happens if Qantas/sponsors crack the shits, walk, and want their money back? Qantas have already taken a biiig marketing/ profile hit with this fiasco. There’s gonna be some irate board members in Qantas demanding this get sorted asap. Man, RA are faaaarked either way. So sad, Clyne may not get to go to his junket. Maybe someone should ask for a Royal commission LOL!

I noticed that jimmydubs has now been banned from the G&G forum. I don’t know if it is to do with his post about the transactions between Cox and the RA.
