Crusaders fans planned a pitch invasion of nib Stadium during their side's shock Super Rugby loss to the Western Force.

About 25 supporters of the New Zealand team - one naked, some painted, others partly clothed or in fancy dress - reportedly intended charging on to the field during the game on Saturday night.

Well a couple of the blokes pushed past me and my young bloke and we were in the standing area at the end the crusaders were attacking in the second half. I have to thank them for a long and difficult conversation/inquisition from my 8 year old son as to why these guys would run onto the field of play with no clothes on, in costume and in their underpants

That's how it came over to me. Horgan was basically cheering them on.
TBH I don't care wether he wants us to win or lose but while on air try to be neutral!

So true, when they scored off the forward pass I think he admitted that it was marginally forward but kept saying they were hard done by or something to that effect.

Serious questions need to be asked about the security at the ground with 5 streakers causing havoc at a crucial stage of play. It was embarrassing by all involved and i hope lengthy bans are handed out.
Other lowlight was the constant abuse by Crusaders fans at Crusaders players. Some extremely shameful remarks were heard and then repeated for the next 25 mins. Dismal stuff.

Security were too busy getting saders fans to put out their joints and clearing the isles of their disrespectful persons. To no avail I might add

I said early in the game that security was incredibly light for the crowd in attendance (not numbers, origin and historical track record)
mate of mine watched half a dozen kiwis wander out of a disabled toilet stuffing Jim Beam bottles (700mL) into their bags...
the shed was quiet, and I didnt have too much to say about the Saders fans around me. But security were just thin on the ground.

I am on the South Island at the moment and the news channels glossed over it a lot had to look very hard the next day to find out the result.

Just had an email from a Christchurch native and they belive the idoits than ran onto the ground were Force supporters and that Kaplan is a cheat, pretty rich coming from Crusaders supporters, but I guess Richie wasn't there to even up for Kaplan

Great result. Great reaction from the players after the whistle (especially big Rory). And great interview with Hodgo after the game. But, I think the crusaders attack made it fairly easy for the Force to defend - looks like they missed Carter.

The Force will hopefully show the same determination in defence against the Canes and with maybe a wee bit of magic in attack from someone, we'll hopefully get a result again this week.....!

I guess the key points of this article are

a) They were Kiwi ground invaders
b) Kiwis can't handle their piss
c) 20 or so "were going to do it" but chickened out (hang on there was a chicken wasn't there or was that at the Zoo during Highlanders match?)
d) The Crusaders lost
