I've just calmed down enough to put finger to keyboard. Annoyed that a normally reliable player like RHP has a brain fart like that when we were in a solid position. I'm sure he's suffered enough so I won't continue.
Suffered enough my fucken ass!!! Guys it's time to fucken wake up to the facts that this is our ass on the line. Nobody in Aus rugby gives 2 shits if we go by the wayside. Fuck me we had that game by the nuts RHP had a brain fart pure and simple.
Yeah, not good by rhp. Hoff was pretty clean. I only shouted at him twice, and that's a record for me.
I was shocked at the penalty count at half time and surprised that Hoff went to the video before dropping the cheese.
Rhp to run sprints while everybody else throws fruit at him.

Lance is not the player to lead us around the field. Rona is the laziest back I have seen in a long time, I hope he had a gps on, lazy at tracking back and terrible lateral running with the ball in hand. Always worries me when Kearns talks up a back. Just read that he is actually a winger, explains everything.
I thought some changes should have been made earlier, Ainsley for Faulkner and Ruru for Louwrens.
Hopefully lessons will be learnt, should have won it though it was there for the taking.

Good of the coach to try to shoulder some responsibility, but he's not out there. I would not like to be in Ross Haylett-Dickhead's shoes for the next couple of weeks."To finish the game with almost double the amount of penalties against than for, when all week we've talked about our discipline, that's not acceptable really.
"First and foremost this performance is on me. My job is to make sure we get the messaging right ... there will be a number of individuals who have to front up [for mistakes], that starts with me." - Dave Wessels
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
Absolutely infuriating to have thrown that match away. Glad to see Wessels so animated in the shed at half time and obviously still angry after the match, based on his quotes in the West Aus this morning - players need to be held accountable for letting an important win slip away so disappointingly.
Positives for me were the quality early attacking with the ball in hand (although we didn't complete), still showing good line speed on defence in the second half and the line out performed well, scrum also seemed to get its act together after an early drubbing.
Bloody infuriating to have lost that one, but still some good signs compared to last year.
I thought that despite the atrocious penalty count, we looked well in control of the game.
I'm still feeling positive About this season and that hasn't been a round three thing for many a year.
Hopefully we won't be too badly off by the time we play the kings

I am just bloody angry! RHP deserves to be dropped for a couple of weeks but with AC out that's not going to happen.
We had that!
May the FORCE be with you!
Really impressed with how the team are playing so far, but aggravating to undo all the good work with these bloody penalties and dropped balls! Thought these probs had finally been eradicated this season, and yet here we are again bemoaning lack of concentration. The Force simply don't have any margin for losing games especially like this when the future of the Force is at risk.
I'm hoping it's down to inexperience and still early days yet.
Discipline let us down again, honest assessment from Wessels and tess in the post game presser...
Yes - we lost that one - inexperience is going to do that on occasion.
But lets look at the positives.
We are playing so much better then last year.
We look so much better then last year.
We are going to learn from this and move forward.
Our ball handling skills across the paddock are much improved.
The cup is very much half full...............

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
The game is being repeated at 8am tomorrow on One. Might have to re-watch to see if some of my thoughts on the game were alcohol-infused
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Watched it again this morning after the beers had worn off.
We could (possibly should) have had the game sealed up with 4 tries in that first half.
RHP didn't cost us the game, but I'm still a bit pissed at him because that was the final nail in the coffin.
Win and lose as a team though, so it is what it is.
Looking forward, The reds will more than likely lose to the crusaders tonight & the sharks/tahs is anyone's game.
So the Aus conference will stay as it is now or we'll drop one spot based on points against. Either way it's still wide open with no team exerting themselves over the rest of them.
That and the brumbies and the tahs are off the pace of where they were this time last year and we've picked up our act a bit.
Looking forward to see how we go against the crusaders. That's going to show where we are at overall a hell of a lot better than the first 3 games
