A song by Bobby McFerrin put out in the late 80's. He then committed suicide so there's a message in there somewhere.
    No he didn't.

Happy to stand corrected if this guy is still alive not that there's much proof. Half the world still thinks he killed himself.

Mind you half the world still thinks Elvis is alive and working at a McDonalds somewhere!

I could always start a rumour that Hansie is Bobby McFerrin. or Elvis?

Well he's doing a concert in New York tomorrow so you'd hope he's still alive

RM why you are so bitter against Neddies, especially Hansie?

    No bitterness at all.

I'm sure Hansie is a nice guy, a true rugby man and a generous host to visitors to the Foreshore.

I do however have an issue with Hansie as President of the most successful club in recent WA senior rugby history continuing to make out that Nedlands grows its own players, never poaches players, rarely imports players, denying that deals are done to lure Force players, his logic for not playing games on Friday nights, pretending that the club is struggling etc etc.

Its plainly not true. Nedlands teams are usually in the top 2 or 3 in every grade and are the benchmark for every other club.

Hansie gets 10/10 for running a successful club. He should be able to admit that his clubs recent success is built on importing key players, retaining existing players and that Nedlands Juniors are unlikely to be feeding their senior ranks into the future.

Its a fallacy that the majority of Nedlands 1st graders were wandering around in the under 10's a few years ago.

Cash and good recruitment is keeping Nedlands successful - thats the reality. Many clubs in the world are in the same boat so whats the problem in admitting it?

Interesting to observe, having not being a part of the scene on a seasonal basis, that there has been a new Champion every year since 2006.

    2006 Wests-Subiaco (4th consecutive)
    2007 Perth-Bayswater
    2008 Kalamunda
    2009 Cottesloe
    2010 Nedlands
    2011 University

You would think that to indicate a pretty well balanced comp?

Meanwhile the much maligned Associates, who haven't had a Premiership since 2002, have cleaned up a swag of Colts Premierships since 1976.

Sometimes the favourite doesn't win the gold medal or the grand final. that's the beauty of sport.

Last season Nedlands made five grand finals but only won one. Pretty impressive effort to achieve five grand finals though.

During the 18 competition rounds Nedlands teams finished:

    Premier 1st
    Reserve 1st
    Third 1st
    Fourth 2nd
    Fourth Gold 2nd

It may look well balanced just looking at Premier grade grand final winners but Nedlands were streets ahead on points in 1st grade in 2011 and close to unbeaten, their 2nds and 3rds were much the same with their seconds virtually unbeaten for 3-4 years.

The competition will only be stronger and if Neddies will have to work much harder if they want to be up there again

    'virtually unbeaten'
their second grade lost the major and grand final to palmyra
i would think success is gauged at the performance at the business end of the season?

I guess since RM seems to know more about Neddies than I do, how about he list when and whom and from which club Players were poached by Neddies?

    Also define Poach?

Similarly who and how much has been paid to Force players to come and join Neddies, excluding 2012 where I have admitted to helping with rent to Ben and Lochie in return for them coaching our under 12 team in 2012.

Finally how many of our 2009, 2010 ans 2011 players did not join Neddies as Colts or Juniors? Few clubs including Rockingham would have under 10 players now playing in Premier grade.

As said in the classics - Put up or shut up.

Here is a chance to go from Rumour mongering to fact.

By the way, I am a prize arrogant prick, rude and ignorant...ask Fulvio.
