Unless the ARU chip in, there is absolutely no way RugbyWA could afford both a Director AND a good S15 coach, surely??
As Foley has only recently been re-appointed until 2017, I would guess that that decision will not be undone now. It would have been obvious to Sinderberry and the Board at the time of making that decision that this season has been a disaster. One assumes that there would have been a "deep and meaningful" conversation with Foley about his plan to turn things around in 2016 & 2017 before they re-signed him!
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Foley was re-signed in February before the season started.
Foley has done a good job with the pack. He needs a quality backs coach. I am impressed with our new 9 l
Lourens? (sp?) We need to find a good 10. Godwin has been absolute rubbish this year. There is a sprinkle of talent in the backs. If we had a good 10 and a centre that could break the line we could do ok....with some coaching. The backline looks like it is coached by an ex hooker....clueless

Total Yes to that, there are enough guys about who are up to it, we just have to be able to convince them that there is something here for them. Salesi Manu, Albert Nikoro (speaking of Tasman), Mitch Scott, and (shudder) Nemani Nadolo, would be just a few players who were brought here, and most probably now think "what is/was this/that all about"?
I think Godwin has been cruelled by the switch to 13, he was starting to get his head around 12 and looking pretty handy, then he got moved outside a brick shithouse who was, frankly, shithouse. When he got moved back to 12, after the majority of the season out of position, we saw some glimmers that he might get back to his potential there. When will Aussie coaches learn that 12 is as much a specialist position as 10 and you can't just piss them around the backline at will?
I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments about a good 10. We need one desperately. I understand that the local talent pool is the focus of the Force into the long term and, as a result, Luke Burton is probably the guy, but he's not ready for the rigours of the game day-in day-out. I think we need to look at removing one of our unnecessary Marquee spots and throw a bundle of cash at a world class 10 for a couple of years to be the mentor of blokes like Zack and Burto. Post world cup there will be a lot of movement and we might be able to take advantage of something there. That and an attack coach would be counted as an essential. What would it cost to get Todd Louden off the Rebels?

Todd Louden has lost the plot at the rebels and is leaving.
All accounts he is a weirdo!
Nope not against all coaches. There are some very good ones here in Perth who have ability, but are not being given a chance.
Think about who would you rather be coaching NRC? Tai McIassac (Force L/O coach) with say the Nedlands coaches or Tai with Dwayne Grace (wests) and say Tony Ball or Tai with Josh Heke (kala) and Andy Cole ( Soaks) or Tai with Dwayne Nestor and Elwee??? Whichever scenario you put together with whichever coach it is better than the last one that is in place ATM.
Re Todd Louden, reliable sources at rebels have said he will be moved on as he has a problem.
Where is the missing Link?
Foley is contracted for two more seasons? It works if we get a quality backline coach. ...or broom it and get Link
