I've just been advised that my article has been published, it has undergone some editorial rewrite, most of it appropriate (fixing timelines to make up for the fact that I wrote it on Friday) but I'm a little nonplussed that it has magically converted from a piece that directly criticises the Roar and challenges them to post it into a criticism of pretty much everybody else and manages to worm them into the group I called "Brave Editors" (who I was trying to imply didn't exist currently.
Here's the link (make sure you guys get on and derail the adverse commentary) http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/11/19...gbywas-demise/
I'll try and weed out the more egregious editorial changes and post them here - later
C'mon the

TWAS replying to himself,
He's probably used to it, I guess he eats alone in the ward.
I literally just spent the last hour trying to reply to some of the shit and have now given up.
Here's the text of the original article, see if you can pick the edits.
Testing a theory.
It is beginning to become apparent to rugby tragics on the West Coast of this fine country that the Australian Rugby establishment isn’t really on the same page…..
To count 2017 as an “annus horribilus” for WA Rugby would be an understatement. Despite rosy beginnings and a definite (if slight) upsurge in performance by the professional team, WA rugby just seems to keep getting kicked in the trouser region.
The SuperRugby season barely kicked off before there were questions about who was going to be exited, the field rapidly narrowed to two, if the general populace in the West are to be believed, there was only ever one. The Rebels might have a fantastic case for defamation and restraint of trade if they could prove this, they would only need reliable testimony from the unnamed ARU staffer who they claim told them they were safe.
We’re not talking about the Rebels MRRU or VRU here though we’re talking about WA Rugby. They fought their way through a season of professional footy, doing pretty well, knocking off the prima donnas and there was a pretty positive feeling over there. There was a pretty positive feeling despite Damocles’s Sword.
There has been legal action, Arbitration, Appeal, Senate Inquiry. The relationship between RugbyWA and their parent body moved past speaking terms months ago. It appears now they can’t even inhabit the same room.
The news broke today that RugbyWA has entered voluntary receivership as a result of losses incurred due to the loss of the Force as a money making arm and the insistence of Rugby Australia that the legal fees (which they are entitled to) be paid in full.
I don’t remember a time when a National Sporting Organisation has undertaken a course of action to the extent that its subsidiary is driven to fiscal oblivion (I’m happy to be corrected) Surely it behoves Rugby Australia to slice of JUST A LITTLE BIT of the between $15 Million and $30 Million that has been used to prop up Victorian Rugby and at least forgive the $1.7 Million dollar legal fees they are owed by RugbyWA.
However that bone of contention is not the basis of my theory. At the moment of writing, this story has seen the light of day in the following online media ABC (to my knowledge broke the story) PerthNow (WA Nespapers online presence) and the Sydney Morning Herald. Our own Roar has the following headlines

Nothing on Green and Gold Rugby, The Australian, The Courier Mail, The Canberra Times, The Daily Telegraph….OK you get where I’m going.
I understand that the rest of Australian Rugby really just wants to move on and put this behind us but can’t you see that WA Rugby fans have a little bit of a point. The destruction of Rugby in that state is on the verge of extinction, nearly 1/3rd of our country by land mass is about to have NO RUGBY PRESENCE AT ALL. The (arguably) third largest player pool will no longer have a governing body! I can’t for the life of me fathom why this is not news! I certainly think it’s more interesting to Australian Rugby Fans than “The English prodigy” or “Impressions of the Crusaders/Chiefs”.
I contend that there is a conspiracy to sanitise the news about this farce that is destroying Rugby in our great nation. This conspiracy will not be broken until strong editors choose truth over convenience.
So, Mr Roar. With the understanding that I’m a complete Force nut, and have defended them on numerous occasions throughout this year I challenge you. Will you publish my article? Go on, I dare you!
C'mon the
Excellent list! Do you think they get the point? Doubt it! They’re too busy suckholing their ARU paymasters so they get invited to the next junket.
Offsiders on ABC didn't mention the Senate Report or RugbyWA going into administration but did mention that they were hoping to have Pulvers replacement in by Christmas
