I was referring to a not rolling away and hands in the ruck he should have blown in those ladt phases.

I only saw the second half but Cottrell seemed invisible, especially compared to Alcock and hardwick. Phillips looks like a good pick up too

Force denied again by 1 point after doing the hard work to scrape back into the lead in the second half. Grant misses penalty chance for the win..tough from half way. DHP showing his class again and a good game from Alcock. we'll miss him next year. A couple of key errors at the death on attack which could have delivered the win. Promising but need more of a sample to make a call on interim coach Dave Wessels.

Up until Hardwick and co came on Gus was smashing it with Alcock. Our back 3 had all performed well as did RHP and phillips when he came on. Maybe Gus was smoked after the new boys came on as he and the other forwards were carrying others out on the field.

Thought Rory had a great game. Tackled everything that came his way, put Alcock into the gap that setup our first and came back from a bad cut and played with one shoulder for his last 10 mins. Also easy to see that the cheetahs ran out of puff in the last 20 which made us look a lot better. Our first half was poor we just couldn't stop the bleeding for 15 mins which ultimately cost us. Dhp had a crack and so did kg will be a tough loss when he leaves to a.c.t

I'll need another couple of games to be sure, but Dave Wesley's didn't look much better than Foley, apart from the scrum being pretty dodgy.

The shackles seemed to be removed a bit in the second half, to good effect, but that might have been the players taking it upon themselves

Congratulations Dane Haylett-Petty for your special effort in the 2nd half against the Cheetahs and joining Matt Hodgson as non-SA winners of MOM against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

The Saffas don't give these awards to non-SA players lightly.

Maybe they had bit of precognition helping them along. They spent most of the match doing a Tony Jones/Nisbo - closely scrutinising the birth demographics of our squad.

Just one thing about DHP is the return kicks.. Once DHP thought he had some players behind him he ran the ball .. The back 3 need to be confident to run and need the young support player to come with them and not kick... Any new coach who fine players for kicking will get my vote

Does anyone know what the story is with Adam Coleman?

    Hardwick was bloody fantastic!

Rasolea was shite! Looked like he didn't really want to be there or get his hands dirty. Some of their soft tries were due to his poor defensive spacing.

Our scrum greatly improved later in the game. Glad I stayed up for the second half...

Interested to know your background in coaching. I thought, in my humble opinion, he was the best player on the field. Not up to your standard in your playing day?
