Scarlets Head Coach Nigel Davies has admitted that Welsh rugby is being badly hurt by current attendances at the four regions.
The Llanelli outfit were last week supported by only 9,012 spectators when taking on European holders Leinster in the Heineken Cup, with Cardiff Blues only managing just over 10,000 for their hugely-anticipated clash against Toulouse.

What are the stadium capacities and average attendances though?
Fourways from memory was only just over 10k anyway for Worcester.
"Bloody oath we did!"

Parc y Scarlets and Cardiff City Stadium are both reasonably new, Llanelli have been at their ground for about a year now where the capacity is 15k although I think they may only have filled that once or twice. Cardiff moved to their new stadium at the beginning of this 2009/10 season and have a capacity of 27k, there is no way that would ever be filled for a Magners League game (odd that the Toulouse game is mentioned as that game was actually played in France this weekend). Both are suffering due to the economic downturn, particularly in the Llanelli region where unemployment is high. I know for instance they often sell cheaply or 'give away' spare tickets closer to kick-off which is causing great unrest for Season Ticket holders who paid a premium for their seats before the season began, its a difficult decision for the club to either cut prices and get the ground filled and alienate their loyal fans or they play to half empty stadium.
By the way, Worcester play at Sixways where the capacity is a touch over 12k
