Well, now that it's established that the assistant referee accidently took out the West's prop (and thanks for acknowledging this and apologising to all the Palmyra supporters you wickedly defamed, Rangi - not), let's look at where the competition is with four rounds to go.
Wests are clearly well out in front and will finish top of the ladder. They are favourites to take out the premiership.
But who will be the other three contenders?
Everyone has four rounds to go.
Cottesloe face Wests next week in a game they will lose, but then have an easy run to the end of the season. But they are at least five points adrift of Palmyra in third place.
Palmyra have an easier run until they meet Kalamunda in the last round. Kala still have to meet Wests in a game they will lose, and also have to face Palmyra, in a game that could go either way, with Kala having the home ground advantage. Again, they are at least five points behind Palmyra.
Nedlands, in second place, have a cake walk to the finals, and will remain second on the ladder.
Palmyra has a better percentage than Kala or Cott, so if they all end on the same points, Pally will secure third place. If Pally beat Kala they will retain third spot and Cott will be fourth. If Pally lose to Kala, Paly will retain third spot and Kala will be fourth or fifth on points or percentages. Cott will also be fourth or fifth on points or percentages.
And when it comes to the final, anything goes.
