players made available to play at club level this weekend:
Dane Haylett-Petty - Cottesloe
Nick Cummins - University
Josh Tatupu - Kalamunda
James O’Connor - Cottesloe
Scott Daruda - Associates
James Stannard - University
Chris O’Young - Palmyra
Matt Hodgson - Wanneroo
Scott Fardy - Perth Bayswater
Sitaleki Timani - Wanneroo
David Pusey - Wests Subiaco
Sam Wykes - University
AJ Whalley - Cottesloe
Kieran Longbottom - Rockingham
Luke Holmes - Nedlands
Jon McGrath - Nedlands
....and in late mail I understand David "BamBam" Pocock will be allowed to play one half for Uni v Paly.
Check out the Uni v Paly now - the two teams vying for the wooden spoon with Stannard playing against his old club - and against O'Young! With Pocock & Wykes & Cummings for back-up. Makes it a much more interesting clash.
and whats with Drew Mitchell playing for Kalamunda? His EWF profile says he is linked to Perth-Baysie.
he plays for kalamunda... its what it says on the card of him from my membership
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
what about all the academy players, how many of them are playing?
jon mcgrath is. kieran longbottom (or is he in the snr squad now?)
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
The correspondence I got this info from was headed "Availability of Professional Players for Weekend's Games" and was from Geoff Townsend, the Academy head coach. So I guess it refers to the "regular" EWF players rather than the Academy?
could i have the url?
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
so why dont the academy players get a run on saturdays?
Palmyra will have no Force players. O"Young has not even been to the club, let alone trained with the lads.
Add Cross to Uni's list. His name was on the list distributed to the clubs. That makes 5 Force players playing for Uni, a third of the team. None for Palmyra.
Rugbywa is an obscene joke.

God, why would you want to play for Kalamunda!
You'd think Soaks would get the preferential treatment for RugbyWA...
FS I was wondering about the allocation of players as well as Uni, Wanneroo and Paly are all bottom of the Premier Grade - really hope that the EWF Players enjoy their day with their respective clubs - got to be a good thing.
On a lighter note - Joondalup Brothers are finally going to prove exactly what they are this weekend as they are all going to play with themselves. With the demise of the 6th grade competition the 5ths are playing the 5ths. The first battle will begin in the changing rooms as they always go into the changing room on the left - could be the first hotly contested scrum of the day. The whole event has caused such angst in the club that the club bar was deserted last night as the 5ths ancients preparations has started - the celebratory beer at the end of the training was sacrificed
in the name of the cause and prehaps to maintain the selection and lineout call secrets.
Not to be upstaged by our premiership Brethren - Joondalup will of course be starting their own big name star - Mr. Richard Brown - unfortunately not the EWF one but his namesake. Still we have some fun with the kids sending them off looking for autographs.![]()
And the moral of this story - theain't playing so use it as an excuse to get out and discover your local club - there won't be a problem viewing the action - the burgers are better and cheaper - and quite often the action on the field is as hotly contested as the Super 14.

61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
The match between winless University and fellow strugglers Palmyra shapes as a mini selection battle with Emirates Western Force number 9’s James Stannard (Uni) and Chris O’Young (Palmyra) going head-to-head at MacGillivray Oval.
The other weird thing about this one is that Chuckie was spotted at Paly ? if the story is remembered correctly.

What part of "O'Young is not playing for Palmyra" don't you understand, TQ1?
Stannard hasn't been seen at Pally since the beginning of last season either.
On another note TQ1, from my experience, competition games between sides in the same club usually end in bloodbaths. Make sure that big softy of yours, No 8, is well padded up.
