Western Force fans will be dismayed at the latest blow.
The Force young guns Giteau, Pocock and Shepherd have decided to move on from the Force. Foundation prop forward Gareth Hardy lso has decided to call it quits.
The unified press statement said they had looked at all of their options and have decided to move on.
"Complex contract negotiation have seen the actual confirmation held up for several weeks for Matt", said his manager, "He is glad to get it out of the way as it had been affecting his football."
Both Cameron and David Pocock have kept a low profile when it came to their decision. A RugbyWA spokesman said,"We we're banking on these guys for the future of the Force. The opportunity was given to them here and tit's a big blow."
After weeks of speculation it appears that Matt Giteau will return to the Australian capital and rejoin the Brumbies. After 2 season with the Western Force and the departure of his close friend Matt Henjak under a cloud of controversy, Giteau is now looking to settle back at a struggling Brumbies.
Shepherd and Hardy are both looking to hook up with another struggling franchise the Waratahs. Under performing back line players will now have a greater depth of competition for their spots. As for Hardy he'll improve the NSW scrummaging and front mobility.
In a surprise move it appears that young back row wonder David Pocock is to head over seas to join Saracens. The super star flanker had a brief liaison with Eddie Jones whilst in the academy. It is reported Jones contact Pocock almost immediately when contract negotiation broke down with both ARU and the Western Force. The undisclosed details of the deal were sealed in an over night meeting at a Perth hotel located in the city.
The Western Force are looking at their best season in 3rd torrid year of existence.
