The Emirates Western Force will be without winger Nick Cummins for the next two matches after a SANZAR Appeals Committee dismissed the club’s application to have his original suspension overturned.
Cummins was suspended by SANZAR Judicial Officer Campbell Thomson after being cited for an incident in the 71st minute of the match against the Bulls last Saturday night.
“We gave it our best shot at the appeal and brought in experts such as Biomechanist Dr Andrew Lyttle to support our argument,” Hardy said.
“While we’re disappointed in the outcome we’ll now focus our full attention on Friday’s match against the Stormers at ME Bank Stadium and look forward to Nick returning in a fortnight and reproducing the good form he has shown in recent games.”
The Emirates Western Force would like to acknowledge the efforts of Counsel Mr Tony McCarthy in his submissions to the Appeals Committee.
