The Western Force will suit-up in the first of two pre-season trial dates this Saturday when they tackle an Australian Barbarians outfit at TG Milner Field in Sydney.
Saturday’s match will be a double header with the Emirates Western Force ‘A’ to play the Brumby Runners prior to the Barbarians match.
The Baabaas today announced their squad which will feature five Super Rugby listed players from the Waratahs, Daniel Halangahu, Damien Fitzpatrick, Jeremy Tilse, Pat O’Connor and Brendan McKibbin while the remainder of the side will see the best of the NSW First Grade Shute Shield in action.
Western Force coach Richard Graham will announce his squads on Thursday morning.

Why T G millner field?
The ground there is seriously lacking in any quality, not a good field for viewing either. Apart from the obvious reason that North Sydney is the strongest area for rugby in Sydney I don't see much benefit out of playing out of that ground.
It's good to see that western force next generations being put on show though.

The opening paragraph says: "Young Wallaby star James O'Connor will get his first outing for the Western Force at fullback in their first trial against an Australian Barbarians side on Saturday in Sydney."
Wasn't Rabbit playing fullback for most of last season? So what first is it? It's not his first game at fullback, it's not his first game for the Force, and it's not his first game at fullback for the Force!
First game for 2011, perhaps. I dunno.
