Light Farce For Spent Force
by Nick Taylor
Check out page 84 of today's The Sunday Times. The players had their "Silly Saturday" yesterday and had to come dressed as something beginning with "B" or "C" in honour of Brendon Cannon, who came as himself with a "leave pass" stuck to his shirt.
Tough to say who was my favourite but it would have to be Pocock as Bam-Bam and Daruda as Betty, closely followed by Sharpey as a bogan and Luke Doherty as Chopper Reid.![]()
Other players depicted on the page were Hilgendorf and Staniforth as B1 and B2, Tai McIsaac as Chef (from South Park), Drew Mitchell as a clown, Henjak as Braveheart, Hockings as Conan the Barbarian and Giteau as (Julius) Caesar.
Good to see they had a good night!![]()
sharpie as a bogan was gold, good to see the boys enjoying themselves after a tough (but good) season![]()
Wonder if the aussie rules teams invite the media to their silly days?
PS?>.....My fav was Tai McIssac as Kenny the Chef off South Park....striking resemblance
Kenny the chef? Gerry gerry gerry... it's just 'chef'. Kenny is the little dude in the orange get up. (I'm watching southpark at the moment :p)
Sharpie the Bogan had to be my favourite. He looked magic!![]()
HAHA, Old Man Gerry got caught trying to be cool with the kids![]()
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.

Bam- Bam as Bam-Bam was good. Henjak the braveheart!
Every forwards dream is to become a back...
It's hard word trying to keep up when you get old Gerry. So I've been told![]()
