Western Force speedster Rod Davies has been called into the Australian sevens squad and is aiming to debut in the Vancouver leg of the World Series next month.
The winger, one of the fastest players in Australian rugby and nicknamed ‘rocket’, was lured back to Australia by the Force last season after four years overseas with Biarritz and Mitsubishi DynaBoars.

The first of many to seek opportunity and find another gig elsewhere
There will be a flood of players departing to where they may find competitive rugby and the Force Hierarchy will
Happily hold the door open for them in an effort to reduce the outflow of cash for the money pit that is IPRC / WSR/ GRR or whatever it is called this week
According to Tim Sampson today Rod will be back in a few weeks for the games. All the guys today looked fit & happy to be getting sorted now with upcoming games even if the comp has been stalled which is understandable. I guess the haters will just hate.
Oh god what was printed must be true becauE all if the propaganda that comes out of the force is always true ......
I mean who would want to travel the world and play competitive rugby in an organised structure when they could hold tackle bags 6 days a week and play 5 Mickey Mouse exhibition games in 12 months
Players are well aware that the current situation will
Impact there further contracts elsewhere so they are looking now for option. - sorry i retract that statement because it wasn’t in the press release
