    reds v canes

If Cooper makes the team of the week this week then ill be damned!! he is absolutely shocking in defence...

reds being outmuscled, outenthused and totally overwhelmed by the canes...

Hanson cannot throw into a lineout - his woeful first half performance changed the whole match.

Overall the Reds were very ordinary though.

    That last penalty was woeful.

How can a retreating player who is running towards his own goal line, no where near the ball or the play be called for offside?

Poor decision that cost his team the game.

And guess what, Cooper made the Rugby Heaven team of the week! Obviously no one did better in his position (or he's bribing the people who pick it!)

Barrelsk didn't do much, Jimmy was beaten up and Willie's a Kiwi, Quade is probably a walk up start for that one most weeks!

I didn't think Willie was that crash hot against the Crusaders. I am pretty sure both of the first two Crusaders tries were counterattacks from very average kicking from him.

McCalman, Sharpie, Rabbit and Sheps also had their moments... I think Smiths two misses were actually a result of his inside defences not trusting that he would have the outside runner and they doubled up creating an easy hole.... he was set-up!

I call it the SBW factor his biggest impact in the game was not by what he did but for who he was.... our boys were so scared of the offload they forgot the simple man on man defensive structures that worked for us so well against the Reds and Blues.
