RugbyWA has granted an early release to forward Scott Fava.
RugbyWA CEO Greg Harris said Fava was granted a release on compassionate grounds.
“Scott came to us seeking an early release from his playing contract at the Emirates Western Force so that he could return to the east to be closer to his family,” said Harris.
Fava, who was contracted until the end of the 2009 season, is poised to join the Waratahs after being approved for an early release from his contract by RugbyWA.
The move has been approved by the ARU.
Harris acknowledged the playing achievements of the 32 year old back rower.
“Scott was an inaugural member of the Emirates Western Force and has made an outstanding contribution to the team with his on-field performances,” he said.
“He will forever have his name in the club’s history books as the first try scorer in our team’s history.”
“As Scott departs the Emirates Western Force we wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
Shame to see him go- Best of luck Scotty
Pity to see Scott leave, but can understand wanting to be closer to family. Will always remember subiaco errupting when he scored the first try for the Force. Best wishes for the future.
Best of luck to Scotty for his future!
So what's the real reason?
Maybe the "compassion" by the Force was towards WA quokkas!
Best of luck Scott

Its a shame to see him go, he had such a great season and career at the Force but can understand why he wants out.
Could this lead to a re-shuffle and Brownie at 6 so that when it comes to Wallabies duties next year he is set to take over from where Rocky has left a gap?
Good luck to Scott & his family.

So who will be playing 6 next season? Horua, Hodgson?
It would be David Pusey for mine - Elsom shows just how much a big aggressive 6 brings to a team and I reckon Puse could be a very similar type of player given some consistent selection in the position.
Thanks Scott - really sad to see you go - but wish you all the best for you and your family.
Dave Hughes article indictes that he going to the Tahs (he will be the first player to play for all 4 franchises - he is anxious to play for the tahs new coach Chris Hickey - he was under him at Eastwood.)
He was the third highest in the players player Rosendorff award this year - based on that alone reckon a lot of the players will really miss his presence both on and off the pitch as well.
A Fantastic servant of the- not without a few tales but what's life without a bit of colour.
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
cya Scotty - thanks for all the fish
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
Scott, thanks not only for the playinng memories but for leading the way for other players to follow you to the West, and bring the dream of a Super 14 side in WA to reality.
Best of luck for the future.
