2008 Wallaby of the year
September 18, 2008 FOR the first time, Rugby fans have the chance to vote for the Qantas Wallabies player they believe has been the best and most consistent across the 2007 Rugby World Cup and 2008 Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series.
Players vote at the end of each match on their teammates’ performance, with the top five most voted for players being eligible for the award. Votes are tallied from the first Rugby World Cup match in 2007 to the Qantas Wallabies v All Blacks Test in Brisbane on Saturday 13 September 2008, and once votes have been compiled, the top five players will be nominated for the inaugural Australia’s Choice – 2008 Wallaby of the Year Award.
On Thursday 18 September, the five names will be announced on Fox Sports “Inside Rugby”, and from 9pm that night, you can vote online for the player you believe has made the biggest contribution to the Qantas Wallabies in the past 12 months. Your vote will count towards the inaugural Australia’s Choice – 2008 Wallaby of the Year Award.
You can vote at rugby.com.au | or RUPA - Rugby Union Players Association from 9pm Thursday 18 September to 5pm Sunday 19 October 2008.
The winner will be announced at the John Eales Medal presentation on Thursday 23 October 2008.

It was only 8 votes the difference, for the "rugby motherland", thats not really over-whelming support.
