Force v Hurricanes is on Good Friday

Not sure how many of you have realised this.

Obviously bars are not open to sell drinks on Good Friday, however the owners of , The Subi, The Ess Bar, The Vic and The Irish Club are meeting with the AHA to put forward an application to open from 3pm - 10pm.

I personally don't see them having much joy in getting it approved and it would also mean there would be no bowlo and also no bars open at the ground, bugger for WAFC!

Due to this I am making an enquiry with Cambridge Council about hiring the hall in the park opposite and beside the bowlo, which has just become availalble for hire and has a gas bbq, big grassed area and kids play ground adjoing so we can use it pre and post match.


Any thoughts??

That would be the case Jargs. "IF" the joint application for the pubs does not work. The Publican has offered to fill some eskys with ice for us so you don't have an esky to lug around the place and they could also be locked away during the match until after.

Besides it'll seem full when the big game is on after watching the first game with the other 10 people.

Not sure yet, but if there is a big cost to cover, I was thinking of perhaps getting a Framed Jumper, Autographed ball, rugby artwork (lozy, that's you) kind of display in the hall for which a donation or enrty fee could paid???

yea i only thought it was til midday as well...i think the casino is like that at least isnt it? so i assume that subi will be able to serve alcohol at the game?

I thought the bars at the cas opened at 10pm, at least that's what it was 3 years ago.

In regard to the bars at Subi being open, even with the ability of the WAFC to decide when the sun will rise and set in WA, they won't have the power to open them on Good Friday.
