Emirates Western Force Coach Richard Graham will make his WA refereeing debut when he officiates the U12 Gold match between Wanneroo White and Perth Bayswater this Saturday.
Usually in the coaching box, Graham is looking forward to taking on a different role by joining the referee’s this weekend and has been brushing up on the laws of rugby.
“There is a lot of fantastic work that is put into junior rugby,” Graham said.
“It’s great to see so many kids enjoy themselves and that would only be possible through the commitment of the parents, volunteers and match officials.
“I just hope I can do a good job for the kids, I’m really looking forward to it,” said Graham.
The Bankwest Junior Rugby competition has over 3,700 participants in 2011 and without the excellent support of referee’s the games would not be able to be played.
Graham will be refereeing at Britannia Reserve, Leederville at 8.30am and will be joined later in the day by Emirates Western Force players Ben Whittaker and Willie Ripia who will be signing autographs from 10.00am – 11.00am.
