My total includes all the stakes held ie the bets you have made. So believe me. I am a long way behind at the moment....at the moment

Hahaha. That means half of your money is my money (unless of course the Crusaders lose to the Cheetahs).

Sorry to be a total dill, but can someone please explain to me, in a nutshell, how odds work?
I thought that, say, 65/100 meant you put 100 on you only get 65 back - so why would you do that?

You also get your original "stake" or bet back.

So if a bet is quoted as 65/100 and you bet 100 and the bet wins you would get your original 100 back plus the 65 you "won"

WF1964, the metric version may be easier to understand when you are looking as it brings them all back into the same language like the $/gm etc stickers at supermarkets.
You have Stormers quoted at 65/100 or (1.65), so using the bracketed figure, for every $1.00 invested you get back $1.65.
Which is why I don't think Gerry would be stressing too much about the Crusaders plunge...

I'd like to but I'm struggling against my conservative nature.

Is it possible to end up with a negative balance and what happens if you do?
