    Metro Rugby

There's been a fair bit of crap regarding new formats, restructuring, Joondalups ambitions, Margaret River 7's, etc so that is why I've decided to start a new thread that focuses soley on Premier club's 1st grade side's losses and gain's and how you think your side will fair this season.Wests are looking to make finals as a very minimum and have picked up Jayden Hayward and Chris Tutara Morrison as our Force players[not sure how many games we get them for]and is basically same team as last season with the addition of a couple of big lads up front.Front row depth is going to be a problem as it is for everyone but coaches are working on that.Backline problem will be who to leave out, plenty of talent and depth.Pugs as head coach to be assisted by club stalwart Greg Plimmer. All in all should be a competitive unit and would be surprised if not playing a part in final's.Will see where we are at after playing Neddies in pre season this weekend.Do not try to highjack this thread with negative derogatory shit

    Good call.
As I said elsewhere I'm told P-B have picked up some useful names and a couple of guys have returned,
Associates have tried to get a new Wanneroo player to sign with them. Trouble is he has already signed a contract. Extra money and a car ain't gonna break that deal so watch out for a bit of a barny there. It's about the fourth player they have dragged from the Dogs I think.
Sounds like Wests are strong Westiesman.
Pre season against Neddies already? Gee that's early.
What's the word about Gibbo going to the Dogs?

Those contracts mean absolutely nothing unless they have been ratified by the ARU as a club found out last season when they got shafted by two force players.Perhaps Fulvio could shed some light on how to go about it.

There is a standard ARU contract which is recognised and enforced by the ARU, RugbyWA and all national and international unions. You can get it from the ARU Website (I think you still can) and fill in the blanks.

If they sign that and welsch on the deal they can be prevented from playing almost everywhere in the Rugby world.

Cott found that out last year when a Paly contracted player tried to transfer to them. They and he had to agree to Paly's conditions or he had sit out the term of the contract without being able to play.

Westy, I am going to miss the trial game. Hope it all goes well for Plims and Pugs. Looking forward to no double coloured lines at your new home.

Heard it Cost Baysie around the 5k mark to keep one of their big ball carriers, and have been holding meetings with the Disenchanted from around town.

    You mean their humungous prop?

The disenchanted are always fair game.

Problem with the disenchanted is, they remain disenchanted no matter who they play for or how many clubs they change.

Westie, for a club with possibly the most talented B/Line in Perth, this is a decent pickup of JH & CTM. Tough going on P&P if they did get G/T for Wests.

Heard that Kala are taking on Wanneroo at Heartfield, Friday 8th March under lights.

Has anyone got a full list of pre season fixtures for the premier grade?
I would love nothing more than getting down to watch some matches whilst we await the Forces home game, coupled with the fact it will allow me to have a greater interaction with other members of this fans forum

Westies man, do you have a list of which Force players are apportioned across the other metro clubs?

Don't expect too much or read too much about these trial games. Most of the time it is 4x20 min with the first 2x20 min being played by a combo of 3rd and 2nd grade (clubs with big numbers will even throw in some 4th graders). The second 40 is then a combo of 2nd and first grade.

No you don't. You hope Nedlands whips their asses!!

Look in the mirror Hansie, your tongue might have a small fork in the end of it.

    I thought you'd retired anyway.

Could be a very dark affair in more ways than one.

The lights at Hartfield aren't good enough for a barbecue dinner let alone a game of rugby.
