New CEO Niamh O'Connor's message to Western Force Members
Hello Matt,
I’m thrilled to write to you today as the Club’s new CEO on a permanent basis after acting in the role for the past four months. This is an incredible opportunity and I feel a significant responsibility to the game and the Club to drive us forward.
I’m originally from Ireland, moving to Perth in 2011 and have been involved in WA community rugby for more than a decade since. I’ve previously served in various roles at UWA Rugby Club and more recently been on the Force and RugbyWA boards with a focus on junior participation, growing the game and unlocking the Force’s potential.
Australian rugby is entering an exciting period with two home World Cups on the horizon. We want the code to thrive in WA and we want the Force to truly connect and tap into those opportunities while realising our own potential on the field in our men’s and women’s programs. Our vision is to be leaders in Australian rugby and I'm excited to drive that forward.
The strength of our game is in its people and its community. We appreciate and value your support as Members and I look forward to serving your Club and leading the Force forward into an exciting new chapter in our history.
Niamh O'Connor
Western Force CEO
