I've been giving this some thought. I've tried a few ideas this week but the best so far would seem to be leaving copies of the petition in businesses which have a high turnover of walk-in customers and are owner operated. I'm getting good results from a couple of local bottleshops and barbershops. Mrs Shasta is going to place some in ladies hairdressers around town this week. It's a good idea to ask if any of the staff are into rugby or soccer. Have a talk to them and give them ownership of promoting the petition. Just tell them you'll be around every couple of weeks to see if they need any more forms.
You just need to invest in a few cheap ballpoint pens and some small bulldog clips. Tie the pen to the bulldog clip and away they go. They have people in every day and you're collecting signatures without even asking. We've a couple of months for it to run so get on it people. A little effort on this and we'll easily get our 10 thousand.
Also it's a good idea to copy and paste this poster into an e mail and send it to everyone in your address book.

I'll try it, unfortunately the area immediately surrounding my place is a bit boganball obsessed.
Actually theres a "kiwi shop" down the road from me on Albany Hwy so i will drop it off there as well![]()
Good work Shasta, have you posted this to weneedcorners?, I wanted to put your ideas in a new thread over there!
Don't ignore the boganballers, they need this too!
Even GayFLlers are a pretty easy signup when they understand that we're still sharing a stadium. So far I've only had one bloke tell me he's all for a single stadium......he was well and truly shitfaced!..Even had one guy telling me for 20 minute we should be shooting for an 80000 seat rectangle to encourage big rock bands into the state. He said maybe we could get a big partition set up to shut half of it down when the crowds aren't as big. I know I'd enjoy watching rugby on a pitch with a partition running down the 1/2 way line!
C'mon the![]()

Theres another one in Morley on walter road as well. I can drop one off there as well unless someone wants to
im going to drop a few in at the old narrogin pub on albany highway...hopefully they'll get a fair few because they are a motel too
There is a Sth African shop, a Kiwi shop and a pommie shop in Joondalup i believe, could be valuable signatures waiting there too...
I am still up north (paraburdoo)but if no-one has lined them up by the time i am back then i will give them a nudge...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
Hahaha the narrogin inn in armadale i used to work there many years ago
Mum works at a quarry and there's ppl coming in and out all the time...she's gonna promote the petition for us when she goes back to work this week!!
I take it you live close to the inn then??
Tomorrow morning about 9.00am there is a mustang (the car) club run starting from there if your interested...if not its cool. The run is why I am going to be there & drop the petitions off and get all the people who show up to sign my petition too!!!!![]()
I live in maddingtonso not too far away
i would be interested but i will still be down south. Thanks for the offer though![]()
oops forgot. you come to the nationals instead!!
everyone come, I'm getting my petitions signed there too!!
does anyone think a list of all the business's targeted so far would be worthwhile, just to prevent us from targeting the same places twice??
All mine are in Mandurah except the CCCanterbury shop in City Arcade. Someone might try the Rugby Shop near the Dog Swamp shops in Charles St, if it's still going. Might try some sports shops too.
